The Bobcat: It's worth doing well.

The Bobcat: It's worth doing well.

It's worth doing well.

We began in 1931. Three generations ago for the Viberg family, there was never any sense that the humble beginnings of this bootmaker that over 80 years later his name would be attached to a boot world renowned for quality and durability.

Ed just made the best he could, every single time. Something he passed to his son, and was carried on through the generations of the family. Even now, Glen Viberg still works every day, shoulder to shoulder with the rest of the lads- and to him it wouldn't matter if the boot was for a king, or a neighbour. He makes the best boot he can, every single time.

It's this sense of pride in our work, that we share with you. This idea that our word is our bond, and that whatever we put our hands to; if it is worth doing, it's worth doing well.

This is very true of our friend Matthew- a local butcher in our town. While the majority of the world pulls hacks of subpar meat from a lukewarm 'big-box store' refrigerator; we stand by and support guys like Matthew, because it wouldn't matter if the order was meant for a 'Bourdain' or a 'Brown', he would do the best he could, every single time.

Watching him work behind the counter of his shop, the quiver of knives held at his hip by a link chain, handled as confidently as if he were a surgeon attending someone with a scalpel. It isn't a ridiculous idea that in 80 years, his name would stand a head and shoulder above in the industry.

Its a privilege that guys like Matthew, that people like you, support us and agree:

It's worth doing well.
